Since the new board president took office, there has been a deterioration in communications to the homeowners.
As follows:
- Fewer email alerts through the proven and reliable IFCIA Email alert system
- Started 2 different Facebook entities, one a facebook Page (now abandoned) and a facebook group
- Started sending emails about monthly board meetings through Inframark and no longer via the existing email alert system. This creates confusion, not in the least because Inframark does not verify or correct any errors. On January 3, no less than 3 (three) email alerts were sent about the upcoming January 8th monthly IFCIA meeting, yet the 3rd email still was not correct:

This decentralized way of communicating with homeowners, makes it so the intended audience has to check no less than 4 various communication channels just to get information about their neighborhood and property.
IFCIA has an email blast list of over 900 email addresses. Board president erroneously stated at several meetings that most of the email addresses were renters.
The unofficial, privately owned (not by IFCIA) Facebook group has only 164 Members!
The official IFCIA email system reaches over 2 1/2 times more people than the privately operated Facebook group ever could.
Board president’s FaceBook group uses “Inwood Forest” in the name to communicate with homeowners. Those FB posts reach less than 20% of those on the email blasts list. When the number of members in that group stalled, the board president began using another Inwood Forest named group that includes many people outside of Inwood Forest. Postings on these FB groups have included misinformation as well as incorrect information.
When the current board president is no longer on the board, her existing “Inwood Forest HOA” page will remain under her control and as a founding member, she cannot be removed from it. This will create an unofficial IFCIA page that impersonates official channels IFCIA operates and confuse the residents and dilute the message IFCIA has worked hard to get across using official, neutral channels owned by the corporation such as the website and email alert system.
No signs posted on esplanades for monthly meetings.
